ABOUT THE VENUE
WATAMU TREE HOUSE, Watamu, Kenya
Watamu, located on Kenya’s coastline located around 105 km north of Mombasa, 15 Km south of Malinda. It is a small coastal town with a population of around 30,000 people.
It’s known for Watamu Marine National Park and Reserve, which has 3 bays: Watamu, Blue Lagoon and Turtle. Sandy beaches and coral gardens are the defining features. Watamu Beach’s crystal-clear waters make it an excellent location for snorkelling and diving, and the surrounding area is home to an abundance of wildlife.
The Watamu Marine National Park is located around 1km off the coast of Watamu Beach, and it contains 600 fish species, 110 species of stony coral, and countless invertebrates, crustaceans and molluscs. Seabirds, as well as green and hawksbill turtles, inhabit Mida Creek with its sand flats and mangrove forest. Inland, Arabuko-Sokoke Forest Reserve is home to elephants, monkeys and rare birdlife.
Watamu has a strong population of Italian expats who have left their mark on the local cuisine via authentic Italian pizza and ice cream. Watamu is a cosmopolitan town which blends Kenyan, Arab, and Italian influences.
Watamu Tree house: The first version of the house was created in 1992 as a single-room home where the Krystall family came for their holidays. Over the years, the house expanded and the family’s ‘endless summers‘ - full of nature adventures, healthy-food, and yoga – evolved into today’s Watamu Treehouse.

Refund Policy
Deposits and retreat payments are non-refundable. When you commit to the retreat, your spot is no longer available to anyone else, and we immediately begin to incur costs to cover your retreat experience on our end. That said, we are also reasonable people, honest and accommodating. We want this to be the beginning, or continuation, of a long term positive relationship with you. We can usually find a way to work things through, but just know that the official policy is that there are no refunds and that any deviation from that is a rare exception.
Are payment plans available?
Yes, absolutely. Once you submit your NON REFUNDABLE deposit, we can work with you to establish a payment plan that works for you
