ABOUT THE VENUES

BALI ECO STAY- Our first stop for 4 nights.

– A SUSTAINABLE RESORT IN THE HEART OF BALI Nestled in the vibrant heart of the island, our green sanctuary sits among the lush landscapes of the Balinese jungle. With rice fields and terraces stretching endlessly, charming villages steeped in local customs, pristine forests, and ancient temples beneath the coconut-covered slopes of Mt. Batukaru, you’ll have the chance to reconnect with nature and enjoy an intimate reunion with Mother Earth. Here, there’s no traffic, no city noise, and none of the bustling clamor of Bali’s tourist hubs.

In our peaceful oasis, you’ll bask in the sounds of waterfalls outside your rice water bungalow, the rhythmic symphony of jungle insects, and the breeze rustling through coconut trees. Your stay with us is an opportunity to recharge and detox deeply. Everything you consume is grown on-site, using organic, sustainable practices, lovingly harvested before each meal. The water, as pure as the food, comes directly from a spring and is further filtered. Even your skin will be treated with care, as our shower gels, shampoos, and insect repellents are made from the natural goodness of the land. When you wake up, you’ll realize this is not a dream, but rather that you have arrived at last to Bali Eco Stay.

About the Food- Food gardens

In their rich food garden we grow organically a diverse selection of vegetables, several lettuce varieties, sweet potato, spinach, rocket, celery, pumpkin, beans, kale, cucumber, radishes, pak choy; condiments such as vanilla, ginger, turmeric, galangal, cinnamon, coriander, lemongrass, basil, oregano, all spice and chilli; and fruits such as rambutan, kepundung, tomatoes, avocado, lime, jeruk bali, mandarins, mango, star fruit, jack fruit, guava, papaya, banana, pineapple and coconut. They harvest our own palm sugar, and soon we will also have organic coffee. Native fruit and nut trees have been planted to encourage beneficial insects and wildlife, and to diversify our fruit harvest so that we are more self-sufficient. They do not use chemical fertilizers and we only monocrop rice (because of its requirement of padi conditions). All other seedlings are planted randomly and interspersed with aromatic herbs to confuse predators. When we do experience insect plagues, such as grasshoppers in the paddy, we use a strong brew of black tea, mixed with coriander and chilli, which is very effective. Their free-range chickens produce eggs daily, and help to turn and fertilize our compost, which is used to nourish the soil of our intensive food garden. We never resort to pesticides. We are always on the lookout for materials that can help build the food garden soil, such as decomposing timber that breaks down, carbon rich cacao pods, grass clippings and water weeds.

UBUD - Alam Indah Hotel- Our second stop for 5 Nights.

Alam Indah, opened in 1995 with 10 guest rooms-each individually appointed in their own style combining traditional Balinese architecture with modern ammenities. Set amidst lush gardens, Alam Indah is surrounded by idyllic views looking out to the sacred land of the Monkey Forest. The secluded setting of Alam Indah will feel like a retreat, yet the centre of Ubud is easily accessible- a 10-minute walk around the forest brings you to Monkey Forest Road. Complimentary shuttle car into the centre of Ubud is also available on request. Over the years, many repeat guests have returned to stay with us feeling Alam Indah to be their special home base while in Bali.
