ABOUT THIS RETREAT
An amazing opportunity to immerse yourself into the wilderness of the Costa Rican Jungle, in a very pristine and private location nested in the tropical jungle in Punta Banco, South Pacific coast.
This retreat is open to all ‘levels’ and abilities, I love working with beginners! With that said, whether you are a beginner, a fit person or an experienced yogi, you will leave feeling satisfied after each practice!
With 15 + years experience leading retreats in various locations around the world (Costa Rica, Mexico, Greece, Peru and Bali) , I have had all kinds of different people join up, there have been several ‘husbands’ who were convinced by their partner to attend, promising them a good experience … one example is a husband (beginner) who is on his 6th year now!
The yoga is optional. Although I do strongly encourage those who seem hesitant to attend and to do what feels best or right for them, even if that means laying down the entire session. There will be and never is any judgement or forcing of an agenda on anyone ever. This is ultimately your time away and you do as you choose. The yoga is designed to support and enhance your experience there.
If you are a beginner, we can workshop certain challenging postures.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Tiskita Jungle Lodge, the best kept secret in Costa Rica, is an ecolodge that offers the opportunity to experience pristine tropical rainforest in its 800 acre private biological reserve. Tiskita is about as remote as one can get, located at the end of the road on the secluded southwest coast of Costa Rica.
Our 15 Casitas surround the Lodge and are nestled in the jungle allowing our guests to experience the robust amount of wildlife all from the comfort of your front porch hammock. Guests constantly report spotting titi and capuchin monkeys, agoutis, coatis, macaws, toucans, and so many more. No need to hike into the jungle...staying at Tiskita means that you're already thereThe cabins were built using precious woods like Mahogany, Purpleheart, and Rosewood. The wood was collected over the years mostly from trees that fell down in Tiskita. All cabins are only a few minute’s walk away from the lodge, the rainforest, and the beach.
PRIVACY: The cabins are spread out around the lodge and landscaped to ensure privacy. Tiskita’s small number of cabins also helps to ensure privacy.
WILDLIFE: Each cabin is surrounded by trees that attract birds, butterflies, monkeys, and other wildlife, making the cabins’ decks often one of the best spots to relax and watch the wildlife go by.
Inspired by tropical rainforest in which we’re located, we have 9 NEWLY REMODELED private cabins tucked into the jungle overlooking the ocean. 15 rooms in total, our casitas are constructed from trees that have fallen on the property. This includes precious woods like Mahogany, Purpleheart and Rosewood giving our rooms a close connection to the surrounding rainforest and the ocean outside.
Each unit is shrouded in privacy by the natural landscape and only a short stroll away from the beach, jungle or lodge.
Due to our remote location, Tiskita is a full board or American plan Ecoresort. This means that we include 3 meals per day, a choice of one of our basic activities (see list) and tea, juice & healthy snacks are available in the lodge all day long.
About the food

We tend to lean toward a vegetarian diet during the retreat - but if meat is desired, we can definitely accommodate. Your specific dietary restrictions - allergies etc can be 100% taken care of, not to worry about that! Coffee, tea and filtered water are all available at no extra cost during the retreat. Any beverages outside of those will be at an extra cost.
Fresh and Local
Included in your retreat will be 3 Daily meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The meals are a combination of local traditional Costa Rican cuisine and International ‘healthy food’ options made with fresh, local and Organic ingredients.
About Yoga
No matter what level you are, the practices will leave you feeling energized, strong, rested and focused. We'll set an open and supportive tone for the week - giving you encouragement and freedom to get what *you* want to get out of the experience. We'll take time to set an introspective intention during practices to help you gain insights and find paths for personal growth.
This time away from your ‘normal/daily’ life provides you space to reflect and connect with yourself, and the retreat community, in ways that you wouldn't at home. Importantly, Robert has been leading retreats like this for a long time. Attendees love them, and him. There is an easy, comfortable, and generally fun-loving camaraderie that develops quickly at retreats led by Robert. No matter who you are, or where you come from, you'll feel welcomed and valued.
Chocolate Making Workshop
Make your own chocolate from cacao grown on Tiskita property - very local!

The Venue offers also:
A beautiful and quiet Yoga Shala immersed in the Costarican jungle with a ocean view on the Pacific.
A smaller yoga shale to rest, chill and practice.
Tiskita has a swimming pool, a small library, and other facilities. When you lounge by the swimming pool, birds, monkeys, sloths, and the resident iguanas are usually around.
Healthy food offered by the restaurant.
A waterfall and fresh water pools are located nearby the lodge. The trails into Tiskita’s private biological reserve and the organic orchard also start at the lodge.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate milk, tropical fruit juice, and filtered water are available at the lodge throughout the day, free of charge.
You will be walking distance to the most famous Pavones beach!
The lodge has a small gift shop with apparel, jewelry designed and made in Costa Rica, and crafts made by the Guaymí, the local indigenous population
Tours available: Nature walks, bird watching, horse back riding, surfing, night tours, beach and snorkelling activities.
There is no music at the lodge, the only sounds are the nearby ocean and the wildlife.
ABOUT THE ROOMS
All rooms are well screened, have private bathrooms with solar hot water water heaters, ceiling fans, wonderful porches and outside showers. Extra floor fans and mosquito nets are available upon request. All cabins are about 5 minutes walk to the Main Lodge and with plenty of privacy from other cabins. The rooms are so beautifully situated on the property in the jungle - you really do feel like you are immersed in the abundant nature and elements while feeling very comfortable and safe - you get to experience what it feels like to live in the jungle without really having to :)
A non refundable deposit of $500 USD is required to hold your space. Payments are due one month before the starting date.

FAQs
Is Travel Insurance Required?
DEFINITELY. We've seen travel insurance needed, and fortunately for the people who needed it, they had it. They were able to get most of their money back from their trip. You never know what can happen during travel... We now require everyone to get it. It isn't very expensive, and it's 100% worth it.
What does a daily schedule look like?
2 Daily yoga classes offered by Robert Sidoti (morning and afternoon) OPTIONAL :)
3 Fresh and Healthy meals per day
Group activities as well as any activity you choose to create for yourself
Time off to swim, walk in the ocean, use the pool, get a massage, take surfing lessons, hiking, rest, or go into Pavones, about 20 min bike ride.
Refund Policy
Deposits and retreat payments are non-refundable. When you commit to the retreat, your spot is no longer available to anyone else, and we immediately begin to incur costs to cover your retreat experience on our end. That said, we are also reasonable people, honest and accommodating. We want this to be the beginning, or continuation, of a long term positive relationship with you. We can usually find a way to work things through, but just know that the official policy is that there are no refunds and that any deviation from that is a rare exception.
